This Life Isn't Perfect Holla" by Sandra Foy

Kimberly Riley is a no nonsense woman who has nothing but tough love to give to her friends and family. Just because she is this way, does not mean that she is not sensitive. Kimberly is a great example of how the cards can be dealt in your life, but its up to you to figure out how you can play the game. With the help of her sister and best friend, Kimberly does not take her problems lying down. She’s overweight, her husband left her, her kids soon follow to be with their dad and her niece and nephew became terrified of their auntie. The author makes you realize that if you think you are the only one in this world going through something, think again. Furthermore, no one can be in this world and not need anyone. With this being the author’s first novel, she did a good job pulling Kimberly through her adversities. The focus was on Kimberly throughout the entire book. There was not one chapter where the focus was shifted to another character without Kimberly being involved. The only things I did not like about the book were the title and a couple of the situations were left dangling without completion. The title should have just been “This Life Isn’t Perfect”.
